ikuta-ryokuchi-park

Ikuta Ryokuchi park is one of the most cherished park areas in all of Kawasaki. Surrounded by small woods made up of various oaks, Ikuta Park is located in the gently undulating Tama Hills. The park contains many varieties of seasonal flowers such as cherry blossoms at Mt. Masugata, 1,200 Irises in the Iris Garden, as well as Hydrangeas, Camellias, and Azaleas in the Citizens’ Flower Garden.

Higashitakane Forest Park is a forest park located in the center of Kawasaki city. It is located on the ruins of ancient Japanese residence of Yayoi period. Today, it is famous for various kinds of plants, trees and flowers. This forest park offers visitors a great nature relaxation around Tokyo. It is also chosen as one of 50 views of Kanagawa. There are many seasonable flowers and in fall, you can enjoy beautiful Autumn leaves.

Yumemigasaki Zoological Park Situated upon a hill 10 minutes away from Shin-Kawasaki station it is extremely easy to get to. Over 50 types of animals exist in the park, including ring-tailed lemurs, mountain zebras, penguins, monkeys and red pandas. The zoo is open from 9am till 4pm. Within is a lunch and play area, making it a perfect day out for children. It is also joins onto Yumemigasaki Park.
